Link for the Series 2 and Landmark audio amplifier designs

 Hello everyone,

Its been so looooooong that i have not updated this site since the passing of the late Engr Benny Laguisma. When it comes to audio amplifier designs as far as vacuum tubes or valves, BJTs and the use of MOSFETS as well as IGBTs in his designs, he is the right person to go to, bar none.

As an audio hobbyist myself, i am providing here the link to his two designs. One using BJT which is the Series 2 and the other using MOSFETS or IGBT devices which is the Landmark.

This is in homage to a great mentor, teacher, designer, and good chap to have a chat when he was always around. Sir Benny, this is for you.

Roland JC60 with LE Series 2 BJT

Finally it is done! Had to put a new amp module because i cannot restore fully the original one (no parts available). Module is a Laguisma Series 2 BJT using power transistors with Motorola part numbers 70484140 and 70474140; transistors that are tailored for Peavey equipment.

A clean sounding guitar amp with a light overdrive when engage and great sounding spring reverb.

Thank you for your interest in our designs and we hope to hear from you all successful builders.

Until then, stay tuned.

Series 2 Quasi

Here is the quasi-version of the Series 2 Audio Power Amplifier design. Its output transistors are both NPN-type. Successful builders commented that its performance with regards to the low frequencies is highly exceptional.
